Born in the border town of Brownsville, Texas, Arturo started his musical journey on the 6th grade when joining band as a euphonium student for a semester before switching to tuba. After going through the TMEA Region and All-State process during his time in public school, Arturo came to the Dallas-Fort Worth area to study Music Education and Tuba Performance at the University of North Texas. ​

During his studies, Arturo has had the privilege of performing with the North Texas Wind Symphony, the Premiere Lone Star Wind Orchestra, and the Dallas Brass Band along with multiple local performances as well as making international appearances with the UNT Czech Dechovka Band in the country of Czechia. He has also gone as a semi - finalist for the International Leonard Falcone Competition in the Tuba Artist Division.

Arturo's vision for his career combines his love for performance and education by taking any opportunity available to get on stage and taking great passion into teaching the art of Tuba playing, whether in private lessons or masterclasses

Outside of music and school, Arturo spends his time playing video games such as Minecraft and Monster Hunter and binge watching tv shows and anime.
